Catalina's First Birthday

A couple of weeks ago, Catalina celebrated her first birthday. We did not want to do anything big or extravagant since she, of course, will most likely not remember her first birthday. So we decided to have close family over to help us celebrate. We had a fantastic time. We had a petting zoo come visit for a bit since that was something Catalina could actually participate in and enjoy. It was too cute. They brought chickens, ducks, a bunny, a goat, and a pig.

The kids loved it when they found out they could pick up the chickens and hold them.

The bunny was a hit.

I think Catalina did not like how the goat was looking at her. If you look at its mouth, it looks like he is talking to her.

She did like the pig, though. It even gave her a kiss on the cheek and she did not cry.

We found out that Catalina does indeed like cake. We saved her first cake experience for her first birthday.

This is just a picture to show how tired we were the next couple of days. We napped any chance we could.

We all had a wonderful time and this is definitely a memory that we will always cherish.
